This Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy explains how intellectual property on www.legismusic.com is protected and how we respond to copyright infringement claims.
All music tracks, sound recordings, compositions, text, visuals, graphics, metadata, logos, and other materials available on www.legismusic.com ("Content") are owned by Legis Music or its licensors.
All Content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws in the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, and internationally.
No ownership rights are transferred to users. All rights not expressly granted remain reserved.
Use of music and other Content is governed exclusively by the applicable Legis Music Creator Licence Agreement.
You may only use Content within the scope of the licence you have purchased.
Any use outside the scope of that licence may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.
Unless expressly authorised, you may not:
• Reproduce, resell, sublicense, or redistribute Content in standalone form
• Upload Content to streaming platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music
• Register Content in Content ID, fingerprinting, or similar systems as your own
• Claim ownership or authorship of any Content
• Remove copyright or proprietary notices
• Use Content in a manner that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Use Content to create competing music libraries or derivative catalogues
If you believe that material on our platform infringes your copyright, please notify us by emailing [email protected] with the following information:
• Your full name and contact details
• A description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
• The exact URL or location of the allegedly infringing material
• A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised
• A statement that the information provided is accurate
• A statement that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature
We will review all valid notices and take appropriate action where required.
If your Content has been removed or access disabled and you believe this was done in error, you may submit a counter-notice including:
• Your full name and contact details
• Identification of the material removed
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification
• Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
• Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless legal action is initiated by the original claimant.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights.
If any Sound Recording or other Content is found to infringe third-party rights, we may remove it from the platform and require users to cease further use, subject to the terms of the Creator Licence Agreement.
Failure to enforce any intellectual property right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
All intellectual property rights remain fully reserved.
